Freshwater pearls

Freshwater pearls grow in freshwater oysters that live in rivers, lakes or ponds.
This pearls are cheaper, more abundant and more diverse than saltwater pearls. The quality of freshwater pearl cultivation is high, and the pearl industry today cultivates pearls of many different shapes and sizes. Pearls can be round, oval, drop-shaped, baroque or flat like a coin. Freshwater pearls also offer a wide range of colors( white, pink, purple, blue, or black). 

For these reasons, freshwater pearl jewelry is very fashionable today not only for women but also for men.
