The Akoya Hane necklace is an unusual and rare piece made from Japanese cultured pearls, whose strikingly irregular, organic shape is sought after by collectors and lovers of original jewellery. The Hane designation is one of the rarest categories of Akoya pearls and appears only occasionally on the market.

It suits women who want something different from classic round pearls – a piece of jewellery with its own story and distinctive character. It's an excellent choice as an exceptional gift, or jewellery for an important occasion when you want to stand out with something truly unique and unmistakable. More

This necklace is made of genuine Japanese cultured Akoya Hane pearls measuring approximately 7.5–8 mm. The designation "Hane" is used in Japan for Akoya pearls whose strikingly irregular, organic shape doesn't fit the classic round grading – so it's not a standard quality grade, but rather a separate, rarer shape category. This is precisely what makes every Hane pearl a true one-off, its natural irregularities giving the piece a distinctive character.

The necklace is hand-strung using the traditional knotting technique, where small knots between the pearls protect their surface and extend the jewellery's lifespan. We string it in our workshop on extra-strong, high-performance thread from Germany. It's finished with a 14K (585) white gold clasp weighing 0.5 g with a safety catch, ensuring comfortable and secure wear – gold is also durable and hypoallergenic.

You'll find it in our range of pearl necklaces, alongside other pieces featuring Akoya pearls. Browse our full range and learn about jewellery authenticity in the pearl jewellery and certified jewellery categories.

We supply a certificate of authenticity for the pearls with every pearl necklace.
