The white Goyang pearl earrings are set with freshwater Mabe pearls measuring 11–12 mm in diameter. A Mabe pearl grows attached to the inner wall of the shell, which is why it has a flat back and a domed front in a so-called button shape. It is precisely this large, smooth surface that fully shows off what white pearls are most prized for – a soft, deep lustre that reflects light and brightens the complexion.
The pearls have been selected in AA quality. They feature good to very good lustre and a mostly regular round outline; minor natural blemishes may appear on the surface – they are part of what makes pearls genuine and confirm their natural origin.
The frame is made of 925 sterling silver with a layer of rhodium. The cool white shine of rhodium-plated silver combines with the white pearl into a clean, unified whole, while also making the metal more resistant to oxidation and tarnishing. The pearl hangs from a small round element, so it moves freely as you wear it. The earrings have a classic butterfly (push-back) fastening with a fine groove in the post, ensuring secure and comfortable wear with no risk of coming loose.
