The Bali pearl ring is made of 925 sterling silver – an alloy containing 92.5% pure silver that is strong enough for everyday wear. The band and setting are hand-hammered into a dense ornament, so every piece is slightly different. The recesses of the pattern are deliberately darkened and the raised surfaces polished, creating a sculptural contrast that gives the ring depth and a distinctive character. A soft cloth is all you need for cleaning; harsh silver dips could lighten the darkened parts of the pattern.
The setting holds a white Mabe pearl measuring approximately 10 mm. Mabe pearls form on the inner side of the shell, which gives them a domed front and a flat base. This button shape is made for a ring: the pearl sits securely in its setting and shows off its silky lustre to the full.
The pearl is AA quality – it has good to very good lustre, a mostly regular round outline and only minor natural blemishes on the surface, which are common in genuine pearls and confirm their natural origin. The ring is available in several sizes.
