The necklace is made of a black nylon cord, 45 cm long, on which a single freshwater pearl in an oval shape, sized 7–7.5 mm, in AA quality, moves freely. AA-quality pearls have good to very good lustre, only minor natural surface imperfections, and are mostly round. The pearl slides freely along the cord.
The fastening is a silver lobster clasp – a simple, reliable mechanism that opens and closes easily and keeps the necklace secure throughout the day.
