Sterling silver gradually oxidises and tarnishes – with rhodium-plated silver this process is much slower, but it eventually shows too. This is not a defect but a natural reaction of the metal with its surroundings. A silver polishing cloth is the quickest way to restore the shine to tarnished silver at home: the cloth comes pre-impregnated with a cleaning solution, so all you need to do is gently rub the jewellery with it. It works just as well on gold alloys (14K, 18K) – pure 24K gold does not undergo this change, so it does not need this kind of cleaning.
There is no need to rush to a jeweller or pay for professional jewellery cleaning because of a tarnished ring or earrings – this cloth handles most everyday tarnish in moments, at home and without risk. Measuring 11 × 16 cm, it is also larger than similar cloths on the market, so you can gradually clean several pieces of jewellery with it. More

Sterling silver (925/1000) gradually oxidises and tarnishes. With rhodium-plated silver the process is much slower, but it still becomes visible over time. This is not a defect but a natural reaction of the metal with its surroundings. A silver polishing cloth is the simplest way to restore the shine to tarnished silver at home. It is pre-impregnated with a cleaning solution and made of a special fine, lint-free fabric, which makes it highly effective even on heavily tarnished silver. It can also be used to clean gold alloys (14K, 18K) – pure 24K gold does not undergo this change.

Measuring 11 × 16 cm, the cloth is larger than similar products on the market, so a single cloth lets you clean several pieces of jewellery over time without reaching for a new one. It is easy to use – gently rub the entire surface of the jewellery against the cloth until its natural shine returns. Then wipe it with a paper tissue or a clean cloth, or rinse it with clean water, and let it dry thoroughly.

Although the solution on the cloth contains no cyanide compounds or other harmful substances, cleaning releases the dark oxidised layer from the surface of the jewellery, which stays not only on the cloth but also on your fingers. If you did not wear fabric gloves while cleaning (which we recommend), wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.

The cloth can be used on both sides, repeatedly – until both sides have turned completely black. When that happens, simply reach for a new one. The cloth must not be washed. It is an ideal addition to the regular care of silver and gold jewellery.
