This pearl necklace is made of genuine Tahitian pearls, among the rarest pearl jewellery in the world. They come from the lagoons of French Polynesia and are prized for their natural dark colour, which ranges from soft grey through steel green and peacock tones to deep black with a silvery sheen. Each Tahitian pearl is a true one-off – captivating with its natural lustre, depth of colour, and characteristic natural grooves on the surface.

C-quality pearls have a good lustre with more noticeable natural imperfections in surface and shape – this is the third, second-lowest grade on the four-tier A–D scale used for Tahitian pearls. The irregular shape and size of approximately 11–13 mm highlight the pearls' authentic, exotic character.

The necklace is hand-strung using the traditional knotting technique, where small knots between the pearls protect their surface and extend the jewellery's lifespan. We string it in our workshop on extra-strong, high-performance thread from Germany. It's finished with a 14K (585) white gold clasp weighing 0.5 g with a safety catch, ensuring comfortable and secure wear – gold is also durable and hypoallergenic.

You'll find it in our range of pearl necklaces, alongside other pieces featuring Tahitian pearls. For more on jewellery authenticity, see our certified jewellery section, and browse our full range in the pearl jewellery main category.

We supply a certificate of authenticity for the pearls with every pearl necklace.
